The cowboy in charge. Chef/Owner, Chris Trapani is originally from Brooklyn. He lived there for almost 30 years and moved to Austin, TX many years ago. He has trained at the Texas Culinary Academy, worked for several top catering companies in New York City & Austin, fine dining, corporate and casual dining.
He's created and executed menus for celebrities, television networks, corporate facilities, film shoots, and independent restaurant concepts, like the LaLit Food Truck Company in India. He is known for his kind & genuine approach to service & a deep love for the south & everything country. He has a diverse & passionate approach to cuisine that is true to Texas and his urban roots of NYC.

Love Urban Cowboy !
We hired Urban Cowboy to cater all three days of our wedding weekend, and WOW — they crushed it. From start to finish, everything was seamless. The food was incredible (seriously, our guests are still talking about it), and the nacho bar was a total crowd favorite for snacks! Every single person on their team was so kind, professional, and accommodating. The communication leading up to the weekend was clear and easy, and our in-person tasting was not only helpful but also super fun. They made everything feel stress-free, which as a bride, I cannot appreciate enough! If you’re a bride and groom looking for a caterer — or even planning another event — I truly cannot recommend Urban Cowboy enough. They brought such good energy and really great food!
Fast workers
I wasn't sure how they would be able to pull it off, but they got the venue set up, food ready and served, and cleaned up in record time. They brought plenty of workers to fulfill the needs and were definitely not understaffed. The food was so good and there was plenty for everyone. From the first quote, to the tasting, to the event, they were professional and answered all my questions. This was the most expensive item for the wedding, but I can see why with all they did and provided. Much more than just delivering and serving the food.
