Salthouse Catering has deep roots in Charlston's culinary soil. Seasonal, local and sustainable products are the highlight of our menus which feature fresh produce from area farms, abundant seafood from local waters and heirloom ingredients worth talking about. Everything in our kitchen is chef driven and hand prepared and our guests definitely notice the difference. Salthouse Catering offers your guests restaurant-quality cuisine and service in the catered environment. Serving the Charleston South Carolina Lowcountry and beyond, we offer a full service catering to include bar service and rental coordination.

Salthouse is a small, boutique company that limits our number of events per day to ensure we can provide the highest level of food quality and service to our clients and your guests. From the first call through to your event execution, our team will be hands on to ensure a smooth and successful reception. Our food is chef prepared and hand crafted, nothing frozen or mass produced and that makes all the difference.

    Salthouse Catering was a fantastic choice for our wedding catering. Having experienced their food at a different event, I was sold when it came to my wedding. From the very beginning, their communication was detailed, efficient, and direct, which put us at ease throughout the planning process. The quality of their work and value was exceptional - their food was delicious, with so many choices to accommodate all of our guests' dietary needs. They were also willing to customize the menu when we needed. On the day of the wedding, our guests left with full bellies and happy hearts, and the presentation of the food was excellent. The service was great, and we appreciated that they offered both local and traditional options that were perfect for our wedding. Salthouse and Mark were so nice to work with and flexible when we needed to make last-minute changes. We highly recommend them for any wedding or event.

    Salthouse catered our wedding on 11/22/25 at the Admiral’s House in North Charleston, SC. They provided both the food and bar for the cocktail hour and reception. Our expectations were not just met, they were exceeded! Our guests absolutely raved about the food. For station entrees at the reception, we served Beef Tenderloin, Shrimp and Grits, Butternut Squash Ravioli, and Coq Au Vin. The Ravioli and Beef were fan favorites, although all selections were fantastic. For passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour, we served the Short Rib Spoon, Scallop Lollipop, Duck Confit, and Pickled Peach Bruschetta. We also served Chicken Biscuit Sandwiches as a late night snack, as well as a variety of Petite Desserts and Espresso Martinis for dessert. The bar had a wonderful selection of drinks including two custom signature drinks, named after our cats. Everything about our food and bar service were absolutely wonderful. We were told from several guests that we had the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Jacqueline and Vivian were wonderful to work with. We cannot recommend Salthouse Catering enough!

    Salthouse Catering is INCREDIBLE. From the very first emails and phone calls, they were prompt, friendly and thorough to what our thoughts and needs were for our wedding. My husband had a previous relationship with the company, having worked with them during his undergraduate studies. He also worked for other catering companies in the past and always told me how much Salthouse is in a league of its own. On the day of, their team was incredibly kind and precise, ensuring every aspect of the food was seamless. The food they provided was seriously delicious. We had some regionally relevant dishes, like shrimp and grits, but the crowd favorite was their butternut squash ravioli. If you are planning a wedding in the Charleston area, or just need good food and amazing service you have got to at least consider Salthouse. Tanya, Jacqueline and Vince are incredible.

    Working with Salthouse Catering was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Their communication was quick, prompt, helpful, and friendly throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work and value was exceptional - they were great to work with, the food was absolutely delicious, and the entire Salthouse staff was incredibly friendly and attentive.
