Gateway Market

Gateway Market is a locally-owned specialty foods store, café, and wholesale bakery (South Union Bread Company) that also provides full-service, off-site catering. We've been catering around the Des Moines metro and surrounding areas since 2008. Being based out of a grocery store, wholesale bakery and as part of Orchestrate Hospitality, we offer a level of convenience and familiarity not readily found anywhere else in Central Iowa.

As the catering director at Gateway Market since July of 2011, I have coordinated catering and/or bar service for more than 400 wedding receptions, not to mention dozens and dozens of rehearsal dinners, gift brunches and wedding showers. I have worked in every type of reception venue imaginable (ballrooms, backyards, barns, vineyards, pavilions, hotels, churches, nightclubs, museums, golf courses, gardens, warehouses, community centers and historic mansions) and am happy to share all the tips and tricks I have picked up along the way. Whether it be a low-key backyard soiree or a full-scale, formal affair, we have you covered.
