A Greek in the Kitchen is a catering business rooted in family tradition and inspired by the flavors of Greece. Founded in Austin in 2000, I bring together decades of experience and a love for creating memorable meals for weddings, celebrations, and gatherings of all kinds. From authentic Greek and Mediterranean dishes to customized menus that reflect modern tastes and dietary needs, every spread is crafted with care, intention, and the joy of sharing food with others.

What makes A Greek in the Kitchen unique is the personal connection behind every dish. My cooking is deeply inspired by my grandmother’s recipes and the traditions of my Greek heritage, yet flexible and creative enough to meet each client’s vision—whether that means a classic Mediterranean menu, a Whole30-friendly spread, or a custom wedding feast. Beyond the food itself, I pride myself on making events feel warm, personal, and effortless, so hosts can truly enjoy their celebration while I take care of the rest.

A Greek in the Kitchen is a wonderful caterer. They listen to your needs and wants and simply put- they provide it. The food is absolutely delicious with the freshest quality. The servers are excellent. I have used them for numerous events and have always been extremely happy. I highly recommend!

Crissi Gianakopoulos is a marvelous cook and caterer. She uses the freshest and best ingredients in all her recipes, and never cuts corners with them. Her cooking style is indicative of her Greek heritage, using recipes passed on to her from her grandmother of Galaxidi, Greece and her mother in law from Greek Town Chicago. She is innovative, keenly aware of food sensitivities her clients may have, and adjusts appropriately wherever needed. She and her staff work tirelessly to provide the most beautiful and elegant service with a wide variety of options from appetizers, main meals, and scrumptious desserts. Her pricing may be a bit higher than some, but you get what you pay for and she makes it worth every penny spent in the greatest way, going above and beyond to make her events incredibly special. Whether it is a wedding reception, a dinner party, or a work luncheon, A Greek in the Kitchen provides everything you need and more for the most lovely catering from start to finish. I highly recommend her for any special occasion one may have.
