I started Sammycakes in 2014 with a simple ombré rosette cake. It’s always been a dream and passion of mine to open my own bakery, after being inspired by my mother always baking for special occasions when I was a kid.

Sammycakes is unique from others because I want you to have the wedding you always dreamed of, at a price point that won’t break the bank. Weddings are stressful enough as it is and a little cake tasting here and there definitely helps make the planning process a little more fun! Everything is made from scratch at Sammycakes and with it currently being a one woman show, I can assure you my undivided attention.

    Choosing Sammycakes for our wedding on June 27, 2025, at Viansa Winery Sonoma, CA, and our post-wedding event on June 28, 2025, at Brix Napa, CA, was one of the best decisions we made! As a destination bride, the thought of selecting a baker without in-person tastings or detailed discussions was daunting, but Sammycakes immediately put our fears at ease. She perfectly captured our vision, creating the most beautiful wedding cake and groom's cake imaginable. Beyond just being stunning, both cakes were incredibly delicious! We received so many compliments from our guests, with many saying it was some of the best cake they've ever had. The communication throughout the process was easy and clear, making what could have been a stressful experience into a smooth and enjoyable one.     We got married in Napa in May 2025 and ordered a 3-tier cake for our cake-cutting moment, along with sheet cakes for our guests, from Sammycakes — four months before the wedding. On the day of our wedding, we were told there was no cake. Not late. Not misplaced. It was never made. Sammycakes forgot. No warning. No backup. Just... nothing. Four days later, we received an email explaining that our invoice was never printed and our order was simply missed. We were given a refund and an apology. But this wasn’t just a small oversight. It was a moment we had planned for and dreamed about — gone. No wedding cake, no cake-cutting, no photos, no memories of sharing that joy with our family and friends. Just an empty space where something meaningful was supposed to be. Although we can laugh about this now, in that kind of bittersweet way, it’s something we’ll never forget. And sadly, it’s something we’ll never get back.
