Ruby was a Pastry Chef in the New Orleans restaurant scene for 6 years before starting her own business. From Wedding Cakes to French Macarons, Salt and Light Pastry Co. makes your desserts a highlight of your special day!

Our background is in restaurants, so we put flavor and ingredients at the top of our priority list! We love to feature the incredible fresh produce and dairy from the Lancaster region to make your wedding desserts truly stand out. Working with Ruby was such a wonderful experience from start to finish! Her cakes are absolutely incredible, full of flavor, perfectly moist, and truly unforgettable. During our tasting, every single flavor was so delicious that it was almost impossible to choose just one! I’ve actually considered ordering another tasting box after the wedding because her cakes are just that good. Ruby was also incredibly helpful and flexible throughout the entire process. When we decided to pivot from our original cake design, she worked with us seamlessly to create something even better than we imagined. The final cake was not only stunningly beautiful but also a huge hit with our guests and people are still talking about how delicious and unique our Earl Grey cake was! If you’re looking for a wedding cake that’s both breathtaking and unbelievably tasty, Ruby is the one. Her talent, creativity, and kindness made the entire process such a joy, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

Ruby's cupcakes are so delicious! For our wedding we didn't want to do a cake so we really wanted unique, gourmet cupcakes different from the normal plain flavor options. We chose Cookie Latte, Vanilla Cocoa, and Raspberry Chocolate. So delicious - we've been enjoying them for weeks after the wedding as well with our leftovers. Ruby even delivers and sets up the cupcakes so you don't have to worry about a thing!

Working with Salt And Light Pastry Co. was a delight from start to finish. Ruby, the owner, was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and responsive throughout the entire process. She worked closely with us to create a truly delightful and delicious wedding cake that was the perfect blend of both the bride and groom's favorites. When we realized we needed a cake stand and cutting set a month before the wedding, Ruby was quick to rent us hers for the big day. The end result was a whimsical and beautifully crafted "Pistachio Cake with Earl Grey Buttercream Frosting and Blackberry Jam" cake that was delivered on time, and we're grateful to have some leftover slices in the freezer - it's so good! We highly recommend Salt And Light Pastry Co. for any couple looking for an amazing wedding cake experience.
