Renaissance Pastry is a Vermont custom cake and pastry bakery specializing in gourmet buttercream cakes, wedding cakes, chocolate sculptures, cookies, and mini dessert displays. Cakes are available for pick up in Brattleboro, Vermont or delivery to Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and throughout New England. Help us to design your delicious sweet treat!
Pastry Chef Maya’s love for baking began in a small wooden house in rural Vermont. After graduating from the New England Culinary Institute, she honed her craft as a pastry chef in high-end hotels and restaurants throughout New England. In 2022, Chef Maya competed on Amazon Prime’s Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge, where her innovative approach to pastry was on full display. Today, Maya brings her artistry back to her native Vermont through Renaissance Pastry. Her work is a celebration of beauty, flavor, and craftsmanship. The goal is simple: to bring joy to others through unforgettable pastry creations.

Our funfetti wedding cake from Renaissance Pastry was absolutely delicious! The cake was moist and flavorful, and the homemade buttercream icing was out of this world. It was amazing, truly the best cake we’ve ever had!
Chef Maya is a true master of her craft
The cake Chef Maya made for our wedding was a masterpiece. The beautiful and elegant design breathtaking. The crumb was divine, light, moist, with deep chocolate flavor. The icing was a perfect balance of sweetness and strong but tastefully coffee flavor. The cake left us in awe. Our entire experience with Renaissance Pasty was on point. There is no doubt that we will be coming back for all our future cake and pastry needs.

If you’re looking for truly special pastry or cake, I can’t recommend Renaissance Pastry and Chef Maya enough. She made my wedding cake—a lavender and white chocolate dacquoise (basically an exquisite, giant macaron)—and it was unforgettable. As someone who’s gluten intolerant and used to mediocre substitutes, I was blown away. It wasn’t just beautiful; it was honestly the best thing I’ve ever eaten. What made it even more meaningful was that she decorated the cake with my wedding flowers, turning it into something personal and unique. Her passion for her craft is obvious in everything she makes. I have since tried to recreate the cake, but nothing ever comes close. I’ve since had the joy of tasting more of her pastries. If you ever get the chance to try her work, do it—you won’t regret it.

Chef Maya created a truly gorgeous cake for us! I wanted chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and raspberries and my husband wanted red velvet with cream cheese frosting. Well, the combo of flavors in the different tiers did not disappoint! I couldn't believe how beautiful the cake looked and how moist and delicious it tasted. Everybody kept asking us where we got it. We also got raspberry and pistachio macarons as a gluten free option, although I'm pretty sure the entire wedding party ate them regardless of if they were gluten free or not! Chef Maya at Renaissance Pastry was easy to communicate with over email, but I also scheduled a call to discuss how I wanted the cake to look. It was perfect! Highly recommended!
