Hi there! My name is Kate Brown and I'm the owner and operator of A Sweet Whim from Clermont. My business specializes in French macarons with whimsical flavors, and custom cakes for events around the Orlando area. By focusing on environmental sustainability and donating to nonprofit organizations, my mission is to bake the world a better place.

I've been in the hospitality industry since 2014 when I graduated from pastry school. I've spent the past years working my way through Publix, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Walt Disney World, and The Waldorf Astoria. My knowledge of pastry techniques, winning flavor combinations, and utmost professionalism are sure to make your special day run smoothly and a time you'll never forget. I look forward to baking your sweet dreams into a reality.

    Loved working with A Sweet Whim. The cake was so delicious and gorgeous and very affordable. We got to try many flavor combinations before finalizing and she worked with us to find the best option for what we needed. Only regret is not bringing a box so it was easier to keep the leftovers!!

    Working with A Sweet Whim was an absolute pleasure! From the initial tasting to the day of our actual wedding, Kate was in constant communication to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted. She offers both classic and new, unique flavors, as well as exceptionally high product (all of our guests raved about our cake and macarons)! Kate also offers gluten free options, which are great for accommodating anyone with dietary restrictions when needed. We highly recommend A Sweet Whim for any and all sweets-related needs!!!

    These macarons are to die for!!! We ordered a large batch of them for our wedding in December, and every single guest talked about how amazing they were! Kate took the time to go over all of the different flavors we could choose from (and the list is endless!) and a variety of colors so that we could pick macarons that best suited our wedding theme. We are Harry Potter fans, and just for fun she even threw out the idea of doing Sorting Hat macarons with a butterbeer flavor! They were incredible! So worth the purchase, you won't regret getting these!
