I love my job. For me, it’s kind of two-fold. One amazing part of the job is knowing that you are part of a couple’s most memorable day of their life—and assuming it goes well, they will remember you for it for the rest of their life. The other part is that I get to run a business and listen to music—two of my deepest passions. So running a DJ company mashes it all together in one great package.
When creating my business plan for Stumptown DJs, I made sure that everything we did as a company solved an existing problem in our industry. This helped us find the perfect niche in the Portland DJ market. Stumptown DJs is an affordable, professional and talented DJ service that’s simple, flexible and fun for everyone. And that sets us apart from others in our field.

This is more of a DIY DJ Package in terms of planning. On the day of, it's entirely different. You'll get access to our custom online timeline to organize your wedding day & access to our online music database to create your very own playlists. No charge for setup or teardown, No Travel Fee for Portland Metro Area, DJ will MC entire event. DJ will bring 2 handheld microphones (1 wired, 1 wireless) If we’re providing sound for your ceremony, 1 lapel microphone included at no additional charge.
- DJ has at least 1 year of wedding experience.
- Majority of interaction with Stumptown DJs admin
- Two scheduled phone calls
- First setup INCLUDED in package
- (Additional setups are $250 each)
- Additional time is $225 per hour
Tier 1+ (4 hours)

DIY DJ Package in terms of planning, but these DJs have been working for us for over 10 years. You'll get access to our custom online timeline to organize your wedding day & access to our online music database to create your very own playlists. DJ Katie was absolutely amazing to work with. She was so organized and met with us several times before the big day. She helped us not only curate our playlists, but also organize a timeline/schedule which really helped the wedding run smoothly. The songs that she added outside of our playlist perfectly matched our vibe. The dance floor was packed the whole night. She was highly professional and friendly and so easy to work with. We highly recommend Stumptown DJs and DJ Katie!!!
DJ Katie - Wedding
We booked with Katie through Stumptown DJ's and she was absolutely amazing! I planned my own wedding where we hosted about 50 guests and Katie was an amazing help with creating and maintaining a realistic schedule especially when there were some unexpected changes on the wedding day. Katie also checked in with us regularly to give us reminders on time or cues for the next event (ie. speeches or dances) which was very helpful! For the after party, we felt like Katie was very attentive to our guests and the dance floor by changing music appropriately to keep the fun going. Throughout the whole night, we got complimented on how our dance floor was among the fullest some of our guests have seen compared to other weddings they attended. Overall, we would highly recommend Stumptown DJ's for your next event!
Perfect Wedding
Steven made our wedding a day we will never forget! He was incredibly professional, responsive, attentive, and charismatic. The entire event was perfect, Steven kept everything running smooth and the energy he brought to our reception was electric! We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests about Steven and the music. It was a pleasure and a genuine delight to have Steven as our DJ and the bubble guns he brought were a smash hit with the kids. If we ever have another big event we will definitely book with Stumptown DJs again!
DJ Suzanne was great
We had a great experience with Stumptown DJ's. They were extremely professional and easy to work with. We got great music recommendations and a fantastic party. DJ Suzanne was the best! We gave her our preferences and license to guide us on what music to run with and her choices were awesome! We had a super fun party because of it. I'd recommend her to anyone!!!
