Mark Addington Events
I’m Mark Addington, owner, founder, emcee, DJ, public speaker, and most importantly…creative at heart. I started my DJ career over 20 years ago for fun and fell in love with it along the way. My goal is to make this choice a simple, informed and fun part of the wedding process. I’m here to communicate and plan pre-wedding so you and your guests can leave it all on the dancefloor the day of the wedding.
This journey started with a love for music, my dad’s vinyl and 2 turntables. I feel like I’ve lived a million lives but music and entertaining has always been a constant. I’ve worked at a casting agency, on movie and commercial sets, acted, modeled, DJ’d on the SF club scene, rocked thousands of events and even worked at my favorite job Pixar! I’m lucky to have so much amazingness in my life and am often told that you can hear my smile through the phone. But enough about me, let’s talk about you! Mark Addington Events was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Mark's communication style was fast, friendly, and energetic, which was exactly what we needed to keep our planning on track. The quality of his work and value was truly above and beyond - he was incredibly professional and flexible throughout the entire process. When our timeline got a bit off during the wedding day, Mark took ownership of the situation and quickly got everything back on schedule so the day ran smoothly (as a Bride, this took stress off of my plate and I truly just enjoyed the night!) The whole planning process with Mark and his team was seamless, and they exceeded our expectations at every turn. We highly recommend Mark Addington Events to any couple looking for a top-notch wedding Emcee and DJ!
Mark is awesome!
We had full confidence in Mark from our first conversation with him. So enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and the antithesis of the big box places that were hounding us. We so valued his opinion that we ended up asking him about wedding aspects totally unrelated to music. And as far as the music goes, he was awesome, from his musical selection suggestions to the timing of all the tracks during the ceremony to the MC duties at the ceremony. Next time I get married, I'm hiring Mark again (just kidding).
An Everlasting Dance Party
Mark Addington Events was an absolute DREAM to work with for our wedding. After our initial DJ cancelled just months before our wedding, we found Mark who jumped right in and picked up all the pieces. From the very first interaction, he was friendly and efficient, guiding us through the planning process with ease. On the day of, he demonstrated top-tier service, keeping us on schedule and ensuring the entire event ran smoothly. Their was not a second someone wasn't on that dance floor. The "Dance to the Buffet" event Mark orchestrated was truly the best start to the evening. Mark's attention to detail, culture, and the crowd's vibes made our special day that much more memorable. We are so grateful for the role he played in making our wedding celebration a historical unforgettable memory.
