From an outside perspective, this vendor was not it. They had no flow or mash up of songs worth dancing to…maybe 2-3 good ones but they would just sit there, press a button & play a whole song through. I found it very boring & they were honestly a little creepy too. Would not recommend.

  • Great vibes from a great team

Bill and his team are wedding veterans and their experience helped make our day unforgettable. He was very responsive in the build up to the wedding, and he was such a calming presence on the day of. Highly recommend checking out Bill for a great dj, and a great dude.

They were our worst vendor. They messed up both our cocktail hour but especially our family dances. So, there were a few issues. First being our cocktail hour. We hired a dance instructor to come in during cocktail hour and teach some dances. I told this to Bill when booking. I told him we didn't need a ton of music for the ceremony, literally one song but I could make due without any because I'd rather have them set up on the cocktail hour room to get the dance instructor started immediately. He kept saying it was fine because they travel with two sound systems so they'd have one set up at the ceremony site and one in the cocktail hour roo. . Spoiler alert, they didn't have it set up in the cocktail hour room. So for over half my cocktail hour my dance instructor couldn't teach dances to the guest because the DJs (plural) had the microphones and sound system still at the ceremony site. So we ended up getting off of schedule because of them and we couldn't wrap up cocktail hour until dinner was literally supposed to be served. And speeches had to be before dinner. The audio did not sound clear but we made due. Then, after dinner, it was time for the dances. Our first dance was fine. But the family dances... Not so much. My mother in law is very shy so she asked not to do a mother son dance but she said she'd join us on the dance floor for a "family dance". I emphasized to Bill that it was to be a short dance with my Dad, then change the song and we'd bring my husband and MIL to the dance floor, then eventually my Mama and my sister (so she could dance with my Dad), then have it change into "we are family" and we'd grab everyone. I emphasized I didn't want any breaks between the songs or announcements. They kept stopping it anyways and even announced a mother and son dance. I had to run up and correct them. Now comes the songs. They kept telling us to edit this PDF that they sent over but it was not editable. So then I asked them to send another. They did and they said to "mark out" the songs we absolutely did not want. Again, the format they used wouldn't allow us to mark it out, so I ended up having to go through 200 songs and delete every row of a song we didn't like/want played. Then I had my banned list and my must haves list underneath. I had specifically banned a specific artist. Because we got pushed back on time due to them not having two set ups like they initially said, cocktail hour going long, which resulted in dinner going late, we didn't have a ton of dance time. So imagine my disappointment when they played songs from the banned artist because a "guest requested it". I had to go up and tell them to change it because I did not want that artist played at all. Once they got going it was okay, just sucked that my dancing got cut short because of them not having what they promised me they had. I felt like Bill stopped listening to me after he got his final payments. I'm giving two stars because once they found my "musts" lists they did play them and then photobooth I booked through them was nice

In response to this insane review, you said you needed us to provide one song and a microphone and a sound system for your violinist we did exactly that we arrived three hours early to your event we then set up our main sound system in the dance room then went to the remote ceremony site with a smaller Bose sound system and two microphones sound checked even made announcements to silence phones and not video tape per the bride, then we waited for the bride and bridal party we worked with the coordinator and she was perfectly on time as were we, we had the microphones perfect everything was clear as a bell we watched the ceremony then we played the song we were supposed to then we broke down and waited for a transport back to the lodge with all of our equipment all the while the other sound system was ready to go in the main lodge dancing room along with a speaker in the dining hall for toasts and prayer, we arrived in the hall in minutes and had started cocktail music and we met the line dance instructor and we talked about starting his instruction . HEe said he didn't have any info when to start it was just during cocktail we then said let us know when your ready . mean while there was two horderve's table in the center of the dance floor ,the instructor finally was ready to start when the couple made there way in and he would dance around the tables everything was late at that time because of the couple and the tables hhaving to finish then be moved. We worked with Hannah the hall manager And the instructor was giving instructions withot music then with it was going well and he instructed 3 dances in the meantime Hannah the manager sais we would have to cut him off at the finality of his Third song so she could have the grand entrance announce everyone into the other room for dinner ,We made at least 5 announcements to please go the other room for dinner and eventually people went in, Mind you everything is running way behind by then . next w talked to Hannah the hall manger and she thanked us for being so kind and we were all working to get back on time. after this we announced the cuople and my DJ went into that room to help with the toast and blessing, The videographers microphone was turned up toloud on his ed and made a squealing noise until we had him adjust his sound then it was all clear. they did all their speaches and they were not short at all Dinner was served no issues Then we had to call people out of the dining room several times and started the dances Yes the first dance was perfect and we gave then a gift of their first dance as husband and wife The bride and groom hugged me and said how special the gift was she then danced with her father and gave us a time when to cut it early which we did exactly Then the groom and his mom came up and we were told when to cut that song as well and it was done peffectly as well ,next we went stright into the family dance We are family and said durng the song the family dance and it was great . Next to address the we sent our standard songlist wich is totally editable by clicking enable edit which was explained to the bride many times she used her phone and she said she couldn't edit it I informed her to try a home computer instead and I sent another top 200 list to her as well she proceeded to remove the songs she didn't want and picked a ton of songs , she also gave us a do not play list which included Just eight songs including no Beyonce,

If I could give zero stars, I would. We ended up terminating services with Bill 10 days before our wedding due to the lack of communication & unprofessionalism. We booked Bill for our wedding last August. We talked to him on the phone & he had quite the ego. He kept telling us that he was the best, he was a professional & that everyone loved him. Fast forward to the end of March, I reached out to Bill about 3 weeks before our wedding because I had not heard from him since we booked him. I asked to do a phone call meeting to go over everything for the wedding & I sent him a very detailed schedule/notes to look over beforehand. On the day of our call, he did NOT call me like he said he was going to. I waited 20 mins past the scheduled time & I called him. We didn't go over much for the wedding because he told me that he didn't look over any of the notes I sent him. I was very frustrated that he didn't call & that he was unprepared. I started asking him questions to which he said "don't stress," "everyone loves me," "I've done this before," which is exactly what every stressed bride wants to hear. He was very dismissive the entire time on the phone. He then tells me that he has a music list of over 2k songs that he would like us to go through. After this call, we went through the list & it said to return completed 2 weeks prior to the wedding day, which was only a couple days from when we received the list. We should have gotten this list months in advance & also the spreadsheet was labeled "Copy of Songlist - 2010." The label was accurate because there was not a single song on there from after the year 2010 & the spreadsheet sent to us had markings on it already, which meant that this was probably someone else's sheet. His behavior and lack of preparedness had us stressed. We looked back at our contract & it said we would owe him the full amount if cancelled within 60 days prior to our event. We decided to keep him because it was super last minute to find a new DJ. We wanted to meet him in person to go over everything before the wedding, so we sent him another email to schedule that. We were very specific on our availability times (ex. "Wednesday, April 9th after 2:30pm" etc), so there would be no confusion. Low and behold, there was confusion. I was emailed 20 mins after the in person meeting time 1 week BEFORE we were supposed to meet stating that he was waiting. We were very confused & reminded Bill that our meeting was not for another week. He told us that he drove 1.5 hrs to meet us and if we could still come by. We replied that we had other obligations, which is why we did not list that date in our availability. He showed that he was not reliable, prompt or able to follow explicit directions. It also showed that he didn't save my number because he only talked with us over email when the meet up incident occurred. This meant he was never going to call me for the initial phone meeting if I didn't call him. When we sent our cancellation email to him 10 days before the wedding, he replied very unprofessionally. His email was full of spelling & punctuation errors. We decided to pay in full & find a new DJ, thank god. One day before our wedding, he sent us an invoice for the remaining balance. In his note attached to the invoice, he wrote that we signed a contract & had to cancel 90 days prior. Bill didn't read his own contract because it said 60 days in the one we signed. We paid it, but we would recommend to NOT book with Bill.
