“Bayou Haven was the venue of my dreams. The chapel and large reception barn offer plenty of space for guests. They also feature an area for outdoor ceremonies in front of their pond, complete with a pergola archway and fountain. There is a large bridal suite with plenty of room for the entire bridal party to get ready, it even has a bathroom. It also has a large grooms suite with a tv and bathroom. They have plenty of guest parking and we loved the natural beauty of the entire place. They have a honeymoon cabin on site as well, it was just a bit over our budget so we opted to stay elsewhere. Overall we had a beautiful wedding and really appreciate the details Sam and his team have put into Bayou Haven.”

Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

“We used the “Full Monty” package for our wedding and DIY-ed all our florals. Our florist, Hattie, did a great job listening to our vision and responded to all of our questions quickly! We explored options together, and she was able to help us get so much more than we would have with a florist and with the exact color palette we were looking at. Neither of us are great at design/DIY, but we felt very supported by the plethora of tutorials, recipes, and videos to create our flowers. With our florals, we made 6 pillar arrangements, 2 bridal bouquets, 8 bridesmaid bouquets, 3 corsages, a boutonniere, 2 medium centerpieces, and close to 100 bud vases. My maid of honor made my bridal bouquet, which made it even more special than it would have if a florist had made it. The flowers arrived at our AirBnb without any issues, and we lost barely any florals! I will say if DIY-ing flowers, whether with Flower Moxie or not, make sure you have people to help - especially with getting the florals out of the wrapping, in buckets, and cutting stems. We had our crews help, and it still looked overwhelming at first, so I can see how it can be stressful. We had our day-of-coordinator set everything up florals-wise on our wedding day, and everything looked GORGEOUS. If you have the people to help and are looking for more florals for less money, we would definitely recommend DIY-ing with flower moxie”

“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. “We had the most amazing time working with Ali! We had kind of a long engagement and we initially started working with Ali over a year and a half before our wedding to get our engagement photos done. Not only were the photos beautiful, but Ali made us feel super comfortable and at ease throughout our session. Leading up to our wedding day, Ali was amazing at coordinating the day of timeline with our coordinator and making sure that all the elements that were important to us were included so that we had enough time to capture the moments.
